SUMMARY:2020 Fall Spinners' Retreat - CANCELED
DESCRIPTION:Join the Fiber Garden and spinning friends for a weekend of spinning at Durward’s Glen in the beautiful Baraboo Hills National Natural Landmark! The 40 acre property is located 30 miles north of Madison near Devil’s Lake State Park. This retreat is an opportunity to gather as a spinning community\, working at your own skill level on projects of your choice. Deb will be there to coach\, guide\, and provide encouragement. There is no agenda for this weekend…just come and enjoy doing whatever you want\, whenever you want! You may choose to work on spinning yarn for a specific project\, experimenting with new fibers\, exploring novelty yarns\, or just pulling fibers out of your stash. Bring your own fibers\, or purchase them at the retreat from Deb’s “fiber shop” that will be on-site. Bring your own wheel or rent one from the Fiber Garden for a small fee. The only pre-requisite for the retreat is that you have some beginning spinning experience. You do not need to be an experienced spinner…”early-career” spinners are welcome and encouraged! \nA $100 non-refundable\, non-transferable deposit is required to reserve your space. The balance of the fee will be due about 4 weeks prior to the retreat. Retreat fees include lodging\, all meals\, use of Durward’s Glen facilities and trails\, and a special gift! All participants are encouraged to stay overnight to enjoy the full retreat experience (it’s also the best value!)\, but commuters are welcome and their fee will include brunch and dinner each day plus a gift. You will have a choice of arrival days and the number of nights you wish to stay. Of course\, to fully enjoy the retreat you are encouraged to participate in the full four nights! DESCRIPTION:We simply can’t let autumn pass without our annual open house and sale…a long-standing tradition! It will be different this year\, so we can bring you great savings while keeping everyone safe. This years’ sale will be on our website in the new on-line mercantile! Initially\, the eCommerce site will be our weaving and knitting yarns and spinning fibers…but you might find a few other goodies there also. \nThe sale will run for a full TWO WEEKS! Yahoo! And\, by participating\, you not only get a great discount on yarns and fibers\, but your purchase will also generate a donation to The Clearing Folk School in Door County\, Wisconsin. The Clearing is a non-profit and one of the places I teach each summer. They would love some extra support in these challenging times.  So\, this year’s discounts will be 20% off all yarns and spinning fibers. And with your purchase\, the Fiber Garden will donate an additional 10% to The Clearing. It’s a win-win! You get a great deal and your purchase generates giving! \nSale is limited to products in stock.
