SUMMARY:Virtual Weaving Workshops - Private & Small Group
DESCRIPTION:Although the pandemic kept the Fiber Garden from opening its home for workshops for a couple of years\, virtual learning was the next best thing!  And why stop after the threat of the pandemic subsides?  In some ways\, virtual learning can be better. Imagine your own private weaving coach! All workshops will be conducted via Zoom with the Fiber Garden’s masterful weaving instructor\, Susan Frame. Susan has been teaching weaving at the Fiber Garden for more than 20 years and has built an impeccable reputation for guiding weaving students to meet and exceed their learning goals. \nWe have a wide range of harness loom\, inkle weaving\, and kumihimo workshops to offer you! They are all described at the link below. You can enjoy private one-on-one instruction\, or you can recruit one or two friends for an intimate virtual group workshop. You will be contacted after your registration is received to set up mutually agreeable date(s)/time for your instruction. Note that you will have 90 days from the purchase of your virtual learning experience to complete your class. Exceptions for an extension are at the discretion of the owner of the Fiber Garden. You can meet one time or several to get your total instructional hours. DESCRIPTION:IMPORTANT NOTICE: All 2022 events are pending due to the pandemic. Until further notice\, all participants in Fiber Garden hosted events are required to show proof of full vaccination\, including a booster\, to participate. There may be additional protocols implemented to ensure maximum safety of participants. Protocols may include masks\, distancing\, at-home rapid testing. By registering for a Fiber Garden-sponsored event\, you agree to comply with any established guidelines.  Now…on to the fun stuff! … \nInkle looms can be used to make a variety of bands that have many uses. We will start with the set up of the loom and cover designing of bands. Inkle looms also lend themselves to pick up techniques that will be covered.  You’ll be amazed at what you can do with these small portable looms! Kids and adults alike will enjoy them. Make this a parent-child experience! Looms will be provided for participants and are available for sale for those who want to continue inkle weaving after the workshop. \nWorkshop fee is $160 plus project materials (approximately $15-20).  A $40 non-refundable\, non-transferable deposit will be due at the time of registration to confirm your space. The remainder of your fee will be paid at the conclusion of your workshop. (Fees are only refunded if an event is canceled by the Fiber Garden.
