Welcome to the holidays at the Fiber Garden! Here is a place where you will be warmly greeted with the kind of hospitality you’ve come to expect at the Fiber Garden. During the Holiday Country Retreat, I open my home and welcome you to relax and enjoy the spirit of the season. A table of holiday treats awaits your sampling and the chocolate fountain will be flowing! Pick up recipe cards for your favorites to take home and recreate at your own holiday celebrations. With your plate and cup overflowing, take a seat and relax, visit with friends, and take in the view. If you spin, knit, crochet, etc., bring along your current project and plan to stay and relax and enjoy the environment. A-h-h-h…this is how the holidays were meant to be!
The mercantile is co-located with the studio in the lower level of the log home and has been transformed for the holiday season from a studio into a holiday gift shop. See where the dozens of workshops are conducted here at the Fiber Garden. You’ll certainly be inspired to see the looms, fibers, and spinning wheels. Learn about the workshops taught at our studio! While your purchases are being packaged, stop upstairs to relax and indulge in the holiday treat and beverage buffet.
All of this…waiting for you! Along with the best hospitality you will experience this holiday season!
DEB, I AM GOING TO TRY AND COME AT 10:00 ON SATURDAY MORNING, TO GET SOME OF THE COLORFUL LEFT OVER PC. OF WOOL. IF I DO NOT MAKE IT SOMETHING CAME UP. I WILL GIVE IT MY BEST. THANK YOU AGAIN FOR ALL YOU HAVE DONE.

I am planning on attending on Saturday the 26th and Sunday the 27th, 2016. I just want to hand out and knit/spin. I am hoping to see a number of the Durward’s gals there and maybe some of the Illinois gals I met on the 2015 cruise. You always have such a beautifully decorated house, peaceful ambianc and darling gifts to buy, not to mention the selection of fiber! I look forward to the visit and hope for good driving weather.
Looking forward to your visit, Sally! We’ll take good care of you!
Planning on stopping buy….more stuff to view, like yarns and such! I just started weaving and love my Baby Wolf! I was surprise at how compact it is!!! Looking forward to yet another Weaving Class in February. Love your place, peaceful location!
Rebecca, it will be wonderful to see you again and hear how your weaving adventures are progressing! I’m so happy to know that you love your loom. Looking forward to welcoming you!
Wisconsin winter is on my mind here in the Malawian summer. I can’t come to this, but I can imagine it and it gives me great pleasure to do so. Next year, another weaving class, I hope. Enjoy!
Ann! How wonderful to hear from you! I hope your Peace Corps service is going well. We will look forward to seeing you when you return either for a weaving class or for any other reason! I’m sure you’ll have lots of good stories to share with us. Thank you so much for checking in. Enjoy a wonderful holiday season!!!
Happy Thanksgiving, all, and thanks for the shout out, Sally! I’ve no idea if we can make it but I’m forwarding info to Sue and Sarah to see if this weekend or New Year’s would work. I’d love to be there 🙂
Oh, Kim! I would be wonderful to see you and the rest of your “cruising crew”! We’ve got decent, not too expensive, hotels here in Black River Falls if you want to make an overnight retreat either during the open house this weekend or for the after Christmas sale. (Which is a mighty great sale!) Blessings to you all for a wonderful Thanksgiving!
Hoping to share in the excitement on Saturday! I still need to wash my double weave blanket if that is a possibility. I’m also relying on a few fiber friends to teach me more about knitting. I finally got around to learning the very basics and have found “another fiber addiction “.
Barb, it would be great to see you! I won’t be able to do your blanket for you this weekend. Too busy and the washer is not accessible right now. But I promise to get it done for you if you want to bring it and leave it here with me. We had a wonderful day today and hoping for another one tomorrow!
