This week will be a learning laboratory exploring the qualities of many plant and animal fibers, and what each brings to a finished yarn. Each day will be a set of experiments blending various fibers to produce both woolen and worsted preparations for spinning. You will create a notebook of blended preparations and the resulting yarn. Near the end of the week, you will design your own signature yarn and prepare and spin the fibers in a sufficient quantity to knit, crochet, or weave a finished project.
